Shatta Wale’s  “Gringo” video won the Best African Video Award at AFRIMA 2018.

Shatta Wale raced with Shane Eagle (South Africa), Toofan (Togo), Sauti Sol (Kenya), Dadju (Congo), Fatoumata Diawara (Mali), Hamza EL Fadly (Morocco), Bebe Cool (Uganda), Bruna Tatiana (Angola) and Tiwa Savage (Nigeria) in the same category to win the battle.

Gringo was directed by Sesan.
