The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) has released its updated price schedule for vehicle services in Ghana. Here is what you need to know:

  • Services Covered: The updated fees apply to vehicle registration, re-registration, roadworthy certification, ownership transfers, custom number plates, special numbers, and smart card replacements.

  • Service Options: Fees vary depending on your chosen service tier, which include Regular, Premium, Premium Ultra, Premium Mobile, and Prestige.

  • Vehicle Categories: Charges differ based on vehicle types, ranging from motorcycles and private/commercial vehicles to buses, articulated trucks, and construction equipment.

Sample Regular Fees:

  • Motorcycle (up to 200cc) Re-registration & Roadworthy: GH¢510.05

  • Private Vehicle / Bus / Coach (>2,000cc) Re-registration: GH¢980.55

  • Private Vehicle (>2,000cc) Registration with Custom Plate: GH¢8,852.55

  • Special Number Request: GH¢739.25
