Kumasi-Offinso road Accident – Six professional footballers crush to their death. Report reaching us has it that some six (6) colt footballers have met their untimely death on the Kumasi-Offinso road in the Ashanti Region of the country.
According to a source, the footballers where returning to their base in Offinso after traveling for a colt registration exercise at Afrancho.
It is said that the car carrying the passengers had about 36 footballers onboard.
The report also continued that out of the 36, the 6 died on the spot while the others sustained various degree of injuries.
Four in critical condition at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.
In other news, some 14 passengers are feared dead after a cargo truck crashed into two buses at the Kyekyewere Community stretch of the Accra to Kumasi Highway.
Over 50 other passengers are said to be injured in the accident which occurred around 5:30 am, Tuesday.
