This Sunday, May 31, 2026, Ireland’s major cities are filled with energy as tens of thousands of people run in two big events: the Analog Devices Cork City Marathon and the VHI Women’s Mini-Marathon in Dublin.

No matter if you run marathons, walk casually, or commute in the city, here’s what you need to know about today’s events.

Dublin: VHI Women’s Mini-Marathon

The streets of Dublin are currently filled with over 28,000 women participating in the 44th annual VHI Women’s Mini-Marathon. This iconic 10km event is renowned globally as the largest women-only event of its kind.

  • The Route: Starting at Fitzwilliam Place, participants are making their way through the city center, with the finish line set on Lower Baggot Street.

  • Impact: Beyond the physical challenge, the event continues its long-standing tradition of supporting countless charities, with thousands of women running to raise vital funds for their chosen causes.

  • Traffic Note: With such a large volume of participants, significant traffic diversions are in effect across the city until this evening. Commuters are advised to utilize the TFI Journey Planner or check Dublin Bus updates before traveling.

Cork: Analog Devices Cork City Marathon

The Analog Devices Cork City Marathon in Rebel County has been a big success. The event had a great turnout with participants in three main categories: the full marathon, the half marathon, and the 10km event.
